I cannot begin to express my gratitude for their service. Backstory: My mother has been dealing with a cancer and heart failure diagnosis, as well as severe depression for about two years, and her home was beyond the point we could clean it between the two of us. Everything in the process of scheduling cleaning, getting information/estimates, during and post cleaning was entirely smooth and Angela and Philip are both extremely kind and understanding people. The home was utterly, extremely cluttered and filthy and they managed to clean it out entirely within barely a day and a half. It is a joy for my mom to return to and has practically given her a new lease on life. What impressed me the most was both their communication and attention to recovering valuables and usable items, they contacted me often during the cleaning to check what items should be kept or disposed of, and they managed to box up, save, and organize everything I could think of that needed to be. The cleaning and organizing went beyond what I could possibly expect and we were truly astounded by how thorough of a job they did. They have an extreme attention to detail and dedication to working with their client to understand their needs. I couldn't recommend them any higher, ultimately they vastly improved my mom's life and her living space. If you have or know someone that has a living space that needs intense care, I could not name a thing they could do better.

Many thanks to PDX Hoarding / Bio-One for their assistance in cleaning up my father’s home this December. From the initial email introduction and phone call, my concerns were put at ease, as this was all new to me. Phill was very calming on the phone, as he knew this was a difficult call that I just made. He assured me that his team was compassionate and professional, as they too had gone through this same ordeal with his own family. Knowing that he comes from a place of empathy was exactly what I needed to hear! Due to COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing guidelines, I provided a typed summary and pictures documenting the issues at hand. From there we scheduled an in-person meeting at the home, for a proper walk-through. He and his wife met me at my father’s house. They were professional, masked up, clipboard in hand and booties on the feet. Upon entering the house, they didn’t break stride due to the smell and overall disarray…they took it all in and that helped me with my internal angst. They asked numerous questions and provided varying solutions. I truly felt at ease with them and knew they had my father’s best interests in mind. Their almost 20 years of experience helped guide me through the process, even pointing out underlying issues I hadn’t even considered. Again, this was very comforting and reinforced their expertise and professionalism. As we moved forward with the cleaning job, they provided an estimate in a timely manner, had quick scheduling opportunities and were able to complete the job in less than eight hours! The cleaning team was friendly, professional and organized. They brought questions and suggestions to us, so we could quickly make calculated decisions. That said, I do recommend for the homeowner or caregiver to have a temporary ‘home base’, just outside of the home. The team moved quickly and everything was being shuffled around, so sitting at the dining table, waiting to answer questions is not the best location. Since the house is temporarily out of commission for making lunch, plan ahead and pack something or consider delivery. All trash items were staged in the driveway and items to be sorted at a later date were in the garage. When my father returned to his house, from the outside, you couldn’t tell that anyone had been there! Upon entering the home, we were greeted with clean hallways and fresh smells. It didn’t smell of vanilla, but more importantly it didn’t smell of industrial cleaning solutions. Whew! We cannot thank PDX Hoarding / Bio-One for their care, attention to detail, professionalism and empathy. They made this difficult task, easier than expected. The total bill was commensurate with the level of service provided and I was grateful for everything. In conclusion, my father was back in his home that evening and he’s in great spirits and pleased with everyone’s efforts. The house is ready to welcome family and friends for the holidays! "Given the kind of work that Bio-One does -- cleaning-up horrendous messes -- they're not likely to get a lot of customers who will write reviews on Yelp. That's a shame, because these wonderful people deserve mountains of praise for what they do and the great way they do it. I had a relative who needed their services recently and we found Bio-One's entire crew to embody all the good adjectives: professional, kind -- so, so, kind --, honest, caring, patient, fast, thorough ... I could go on. Most of all, they enjoy helping people and bring a lot of heart to what they do and that made the hard work easier to bear. On a more tactical level, they use mostly their own employees, not day laborers. That's a major reason we chose them and, I think, that has much to do with how thrilled we are with their work. So, if you are in the unfortunate position of needing their kind of services, then you have my sympathies and one emphatic recommendation to use Bio-One."

My experience with Bio-One, from start to finish, was the best. I had no idea what a (damp) basement clean out would cost, but it had to be done. Phil and Angela were kind, realistic, prompt, worked with me to get it into my budget, and then did it in one day with hustle. They're good, good people, running a family-owned business that really cares. Five stars.

Bio-One was easy to communicate with and did an excellent job. They accommodated site specific needs easily and charged a fair price for the quality of work.
